Home to the master-planned Daybreak community on Oquirrh Lake, South Jordan is about a twenty-five-minute drive from the Culmone Percussion studio. South Jordan families are a welcome part of Ken's studio.

South Jordan pairs a family-friendly, planned-community feel with the strong band tradition at Bingham High and its feeder schools. Ken's private instruction, grounded in reading, rudiments, and playing to real music, gives South Jordan students the fundamentals that make school band and personal playing far more rewarding.

Why South Jordan students learn with Ken Culmone

Ken Culmone is a certified professional instructor who has taught drummers and percussionists ages 4 to 74 for more than 30 years, all from his own home studio, where he's the only person who privately teaches each student. His comprehensive program can earn South Jordan students school percussion credits, band participation, solo-competition success, and often college scholarships.

Every lesson is one-on-one and built around his “instruction with a positive influence” philosophy: reading and notation, the 40 rudiments, sticking and pedaling, music theory, melodic improvisation, and playing along to real music. Parents from South Jordan are always welcome to observe from the couch in the studio.
