Nestled beneath Lone Peak and Mount Timpanogos, Alpine is one of northern Utah County's most scenic communities, and only about a twenty-two-minute drive from the Culmone Percussion studio. Alpine families have trusted Ken with their young drummers for years.

With Lambert Park trails out the back door and Lone Peak High's strong music program down the hill, Alpine kids grow up surrounded by both the outdoors and the arts. Private drum lessons give them a creative outlet that builds focus, coordination, and confidence they carry into school and beyond.

Why Alpine students learn with Ken Culmone

Ken Culmone is a certified professional instructor who has taught drummers and percussionists ages 4 to 74 for more than 30 years, all from his own home studio, where he's the only person who privately teaches each student. His comprehensive program can earn Alpine students school percussion credits, band participation, solo-competition success, and often college scholarships.

Every lesson is one-on-one and built around his “instruction with a positive influence” philosophy: reading and notation, the 40 rudiments, sticking and pedaling, music theory, melodic improvisation, and playing along to real music. Parents from Alpine are always welcome to observe from the couch in the studio.
